In January  2019, HIT, Modern Terminals Limited, COSCO-HIT Terminals (Hong Kong) Limited, and Asia Container Terminals Limited formed the Hong Kong Seaport Alliance, a joint operating agreement designed to deliver more efficient service offerings to carriers that call Hong Kong, while enhancing the overall competitiveness of the Port of Hong Kong across the region.

Cathay Pacific Services Limited (CPSL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cathay Pacific Airways. CPSL operates the latest air cargo facility in Hong Kong – Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal (‘CPCT’), serving airlines operating at Hong Kong International Airport.

CPCT is a HK$5.9 billion infrastructure Terminal with a designed annual throughput of 2.6 million tonnes, increasing Hong Kong’s air cargo capacity by 50 percent to 7.4 million tonnes per year. Modern Terminals has been a pioneer in the growth of the container terminal industry in Hong Kong and Mainland China ever since opening Hong Kong’s first purpose built container handling facility in 1972. Today, our container terminal businesses are located at the Kwai Tsing container port in Hong Kong and two Mainland China locations, DaChan Bay Terminals in the Pearl River Delta and Taicang International Gateway in the Yangtze River Delta.
