Leveraging over two decades of expertise in financial technology, UMF has extended its digital payment capabilities to Global South nations. On March 18, 2025, its comprehensive digital payment project for a major telecom operator in a Southern African country was successfully completed and accepted. Tailored to local network conditions and user behaviors, the project innovatively integrates USSD, QR code, and inapp payment solutions, ensuring seamless integration with domestic economies and international trade. During implementation, the team addressed complex challenges including crossborder logistics clearance, repatriation of payments, and foreign exchange liquidity constraints. By providing end-to-end services—from marketing tools to ecommerce product sourcingand collaborating with ecosystem partners, the company has established a one-stop closed-loop commercial platform. This initiative empowers the digital transformation of developing economies by fostering new quality productive forces in the digital era.
