Vietnam Long Giang Industrial Park is located in the Tien Giang Province, southwest of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, covering an area of 540 hectares. Under the joint support and dedication of the top leaders of both the Chinese and Vietnamese Governments, particularly under the direct leadership and guidance of the Ministry of Commerce and the Chinese Consulate in Vietnam, the Park has achieved significant results and become an overseas economic and trade cooperation zone of the Ministry of Commerce. As at today, the total development area of the Park has exceeded 450 hectares. The main construction project works include land levelling, road construction, water supply and drainage pipe network construction, sewage treatment plant construction, water supply plant construction, power supply system construction, gas supply system construction, greening, industrial plants and temporary terminal construction, etc., which have made the Park one of the most accomplished industrial parks with complete infrastructure support in Vietnam, fully satisfying the requirements of all enterprises in its normal operation. The Park is welcome to all investments in various industries such as machinery and electronics, textile light industry, and household products, and is a comprehensive industrial park. At present, there is a total of 42 enterprises which have agreed to join the Park, and the agreement is to transfer more than 300 hectares of land, accounting for about 80% of the planned industrial land. So far 38 enterprises have already obtained licensees, covering an area of more than 260 hectares, accounting for about 70% of the planned industrial land. 25 of them have already started production. As at the end of 2016, the total output value of the Park reached USD500 million, involving a total import and export value of more than USD350 million, providing employment for more than 10,000 local people.
