United Arab Emirates - Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park (900MW) - Phase 5

The project involves the construction of a solar photovoltaic power plant - Phase 5 with an aggregate capacity of 900 MW located within the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, about 50km south of the city of Dubai.

The phase will use photovoltaic solar panels based on the Independent Power Project (IPP) model. The plant is scheduled to be commissioned in phases starting from Q2 2021. The power generated by the Project will be purchased by DEWA under a long term Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”).

The move supports the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 to provide 75% of Dubai’s total power output from clean energy.
