UAE - Expansion of Sharjah International Airport

Sharjah International Airport is planning an expansion of the existing airport to meet the future travel needs. The expansion will increase the airport capacity from 8 million to 18 million passengers annually & up to 25 million passengers annually by 2027. The plan also proposes the construction of a hotel and shopping mall to be built near the airport. The project also cincludes construction of new GSE vehicle maintenance facility, SAA Department of Purchasing and Engineering Building Compass, aircraft hardstands.
