Togo - Scaling Solar Project

The IFC is preparing a solar tender in Togo as part of the Scaling Solar program.   Togo is the fifth country in Africa to join the IFC-backed programme, following Zambia, Senegal, Ethiopia and Madagascar.   The project, in which the energy produced is due to be sold to a local utility under a long-term PPA, is expected to be built by 2021. Locations in central and northern Togo have been eyed as potential installation sites.
