Solid Waste Management and Waste to Energy Project

About this project
Project Description BCDA seeks to increase the economic activity within an existing sanitary landfill site established within the New Clark City by offering the same to an integrated solid waste solution and green energy generating power plant which can be used to fulfil the energy requirements of the City. The site is a 100-hectare land and is currently managed by a private sector contractor through a contract for service that is set to expire in October 2024. The Solid-Waste Management and Waste to Energy (SWM-WTE) project is an unsolicited joint venture proposal which seeks to establish within the existing site additional facilities including a 35 Megawatt power plant and a waste segregation facility. The unsolicited project capitalizes on existing arrangements for waste collected from local government units within nearby provinces determined to be within a volume level designed to generate stable energy output. Project Objective The Project that is proposed bodes well with the NCC’s Master Develop Negotiation and Original Proponent Status: Q3 2021 Expected Start Date of Swiss Challenge: Q3 2021 Expected Start of Construction: Q1 2022
