Singapore - Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (WRP)

The project involves development of Tuas Water Reclamation Plant to be located in Tuas Nexus, Singapore.

The project will involves construction of the civil and structural components of Domestic Liquids Modules (DLMs) for the water plant.

The water plant is a key component of PUB’s Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) Phase 2 project, will be equipped to receive both domestic and industrial used water streams from two separate deep tunnels for treatment.

The plant’s two DLMs will house the various facilities – including biosorption tanks and membrane bioreactor systems which are required to treat domestic used water, and will have a combined treatment capacity of 650,000m³ per day, the equivalent of about 245 Olympic-sized swimming pools of water. The treated water will undergo further purification to produce NEWater, while any excess is sent for process needs or discharged into the sea.
