Precision In Vitro Diagnostic Platform To Assess Personalized Oxidative Damage Due to Oxidative Stress

Oxidative stress (arising from an excess in reactive oxygen species (ROS)) causes oxidative damage (OD) leading to faster aging and onset of age-related diseases. With oxidative stress underlying many diseases, understanding personal disease risk towards proactive health management is important by knowing your oxidative damage. However there is no validated cost-effective clinically applied in-vitro diagnostic to quantify oxidative damage. Cantabio has developed a novel, non-invasive and cost-effective _in vitro_ biofluid based immuno-platform (Redox-DJ1-EP), which quantifies distinct oxidative states of DJ-1 ( A native oxidative stress biosensor protein) and its total concentrations from tissue lysates or various biofluids such as human blood (etc. plasma). Monitoring changes in oxidation levels of DJ-1 may be a reliable indicator of the on-set and progression of a wide variety of diseases. There is an unmet need for solutions that can measure oxidative damage to aid in health status screening & awareness, (early) diagnosis of diseases & improved disease management.
