Italy - Taggia Waste Management PPP

The project involves development of waste management project in Taggia, Italy.

The new plant will be located in the Taggia municipality and has a planned waste treatment capacity of over 100,000 tons per year, which will also include biogas and biomethane facilities. 

The Province of Imperia received a green light from the Liguria Region to go ahead with the planned construction of a waste treatment and recovery facility under a project financing scheme.

The project has a value of EUR 300m, which includes the construction costs as well as the 20-year management of the plant.

The construction cost is reportedly of EUR 70m and will be fully financed by the private investor. Construction is expected to last three years.
