The project development has obtained more than 30 kinds of different models, different performance of medical PLA material preparation key technology, built the first production line to meet the requirements of ISO13485 system, multi-model large-scale production of medical-grade PLA series materials, production capacity of 10 tons/year. The project has the only full-chain R&D capability in China from multiple types of medical polylactic acid raw materials to terminal absorbable devices, which partially solves the problem that high-end biomedical polylactic acid materials and high-performance absorbable medical devices are "stuck" by foreign enterprises. The project utilizes biodegradable medical polylactic acid (PLA) raw materials to develop medical devices around orthopedics, wound repair, sports medicine, spinal surgery, 3D printing and other aspects. Among them, the developed high-strength absorbable bone fixation screw and bone plate products are the first absorbable fracture internal fixation system products in China. Based on the self-reinforcing processing technology of oriented crystallization of PLA/HA composite materials, the product performance exceeds that of similar imported products, which has won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress in Jilin Province in 2020 and has been clinically applied in more than 500 hospitals.
