Hydropower Turbine Offtaker

PLN IP and PLN IPRen plan to acquire a 37% significant minority stake in WWS Wasserkraft GmbH (Austria), a manufacturer of small-scale hydropower turbines with a capacity of up to 10 MW per turbine. The acquisition supports PLN IP’s Beyond kWh strategy and PLN IPRen’s Go Global strategy by expanding their renewable energy portfolios, enhancing access to hydropower technology, and creating synergies with their existing renewable power generation businesses.​ PLN IP and PLN IPRen also intend to explore potential international markets and buyers for WWS’s hydropower turbine technology, including through partnerships with hydropower project developers.​
