Georgia - Hualing Free Industrial Zone

About this project
The project is located in Kutaisi, the second largest city in Georgia. The international airport is 5 kilometers away from the Industrial Zone. The railway and highway network (the highways under construction in Kutaisi) and water transportation all pass through the Industrial Zone. The project covers an area of 73 hectares. The project started construction in 2012. The total construction area completed as at this stage is 220,000 square metres. There are customs office buildings, warehouses, industrial plants, guest houses, office buildings and apartments, and exhibition centres. In October 2015, the project was approved by the Georgian Government as a duty-free industrial zone in the country. According to the Georgia Free Industrial Park Law, companies in the Free Industrial Zone can enjoy Georgian tariffs, VAT, and property tax exemptions. Products processed in the free Industrial Zone exported to the European countries are subject to zero tariffs, and local sales in Georgia are only charged at 4% for customs service fees. The spectrum of the industries in the zone mainly includes: wood processing, furniture manufacturing, stone processing, steel structure, ferroalloy manufacturing, plastics production, trading in building materials, logistics, etc.
