Central & East European Investment Fund

About this project
Central Europe Trust (CET) has co-managed seven private equity funds in joint ventures with partners: the European Union (Phare Programme), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), AIG, Framlington (now AXA), Charterhouse, Credit Commercial de France (now HSBC), Bank Zachodni (now Santander), Jupiter Asset Management, and Commerzbank that led 70+ investments of $815m+, generating a 3.5x ROIC and 30% IRR. Our partner generally contributed, facilitated or took the lead in raising the fund’s capital, provided oversight or control at the governance or investment committee level, as well as managed fund administration, accounting and maintained financial control. CET led the sourcing, screening, due diligence, execution, adding value and exit of each investment via our Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) network developed since 1989 and in close cooperation with our partner and the investment committee.  Our partner determined the investment strategy, which CET implemented with a legal obligation of exclusivity to each fund. CET has experience in venture capital, growth capital, buyout, real estate and infrastructure across almost all sectors in CEE.  CET seeks one or more partners to establish a new private equity fund, investment program or separately-managed account or similar vehicle targeting CEE.
