Sipalay is a coastal city in the southwestern portion of the Province of Negros Occidental, Philippines. It is the sole of the boot-shaped Negros Island in Central Visayas, bounded on the west-southwest by the Negros-Sulu Sea Trench. Dubbed as the Jewel of the Sugar Island, Sipalay City is endowed with rich natural resources ranging from its mountains and forests to its coastal areas. The City’s forest and forest land areas are deemed great ecological destinations while mangrove areas and waters serve as marine turtle habitat and spawning grounds. Beaches are also home to prime resorts and dive spots in Southern Negros Island.
