After showcasing Hong Kong’s strengths in technology and fashion at leading trade fairs across Asia, Europe and the US in the first half of 2025, the HKTDC will continue organising Hong Kong pavilions around the world in the rest of the year.

Promoting Hong Kong’s I&T strengths in the mainland 

In the last week of July, the HKTDC will champion Hong Kong’s innovation and technology (I&T) advantages at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai.

Bringing together, data scientists, entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers, the conference has emerged as an influential platform for launching cutting-edge AI advances, celebrating industry achievements and discussing ethical and governance issues.

Our Hong Kong pavilion’s 20 leading businesses will showcase our city’s strengths in edtech, healthtech, cloud computing, robotics and AI.

The event will be followed in September by a Hong Kong pavilion at the Global Digital Trade Expo in Hangzhou, home to many thriving e-commerce enterprises.

Now in its fourth edition, the Expo has become a major platform for digital commerce, AI and cross-border innovation, covering everything from payment systems and supply chain tech to live-streaming and AI-powered marketing.

The HKTDC-organised Hong Kong pavilion aims to elevate industry recognition of the city’s strengths in e-commerce and emerging tech, while nurturing new partnerships for its growing number of tech innovators.

To round off the year, tech companies will not want to miss the China Hi-Tech Fair in Shenzhen from 14 to 16 November.

As China’s largest and longest-running trade exhibition devoted to I&T, the event has evolved into a cornerstone for professionals in hardware, manufacturing and applied sciences, drawing nearly 5,000 exhibitors and half a million visitors each year.

After showcasing 22 exhibitors at the 2024 fair, this year's Hong Kong pavilion will host tech firms and start-ups in a joint presentation with the Hong Kong SAR Government’s Innovation and Technology Commission.

Attracting attention in RCEP

The HKTDC will also highlight the city’s leadership in lifestyle products at major fairs in RCEP economies.

Hong Kong exporters will take part in the Tokyo International Gift Show from 3 to 5 September, Japan’s largest trade fair.

With over 3,000 exhibitors including 2,000 from Japan itself, the event features an extensive array of products, from daily necessities, toys, sports gear and homeware to apparel, jewellery, beauty and cosmetics.

At our Hong Kong pavilion, curated collections from leading gift and premium suppliers will take centre stage, paired with focused networking and business matching to foster connections with Japanese buyers.

Continuing the momentum, gift makers will find more opportunities to shine through a series of product displays around Southeast Asia.

The series kicked off at the Malaysia Gifts Fair in Kuala Lumpur in June with a display of pet supplies, kitchenware and educational toys.

Next up is the Indonesia International Gifts & Houseware Expo in August, followed by the Hanoi International Maternity, Baby & Kids Fair in September and finishing at Manila FAME in October.

It will be the HKTDC’s first participation at Manila FAME since the pandemic.

The fair is the Philippines’ premier trade show for home décor, fashion and lifestyle products and attracts around 7,000 buyers.

Capping off the year, a Hong Kong pavilion with a focus on electronics, gifts, houseware, toys and watches will debut at the Vietnam Expo beginning on 4 December in Ho Chi Minh City.

The fair is Vietnam’s major trade exhibition for machinery, electronics, hardware, lighting and food.

Returning to the Middle East

GITEX Global - to be held in Dubai from 13 to 17 October - stands alongside CES Las Vegas and MWC Barcelona as one of the world’s top-tier tech and start-up events.

It has grown into a premier B2B and G2G hub with a focus on smart cities, cybersecurity and regtech.

With over 200,000 attendees and over 6,500 exhibitors across 40 exhibition halls, this event will welcome back a Hong Kong pavilion for the first time since 2018, underscoring renewed engagement with the region in recent years, including a high-level delegation to Qatar and Kuwait in May.

From tech and toasters to toys and teapots, the HKTDC’s pavilions and displays present a wealth of opportunities for Hong Kong businesses to explore collaboration and growth opportunities across Asia’s dynamic trade landscape.
