C5 MRT-10 Project: Transforming Metro Manila's Public Transportation Landscape

项目简介
The C5 MRT-10 Project is a proposed 22.5-kilometer mostly elevated metro rail transit system designed to enhance public transportation in Metro Manila. The line will stretch from Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City to NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City, traversing the cities of Pasig, Makati, and Taguig. This project operates under a Build-Transfer-Operate and Maintain (BTOM) model, with private sector involvement in financing, design, and construction. Comprising 16 stations, including two underground, the C5 MRT-10 aims to significantly reduce travel time—estimated at just 40 minutes from Quezon City to NAIA, compared to over two hours by road. The project also promises immediate ownership of the rail system for the government upon completion, along with a share in passenger revenue and increased land values in the area. Additionally, it will facilitate interconnections with existing lines like MRT-3 and future systems, improving overall commuter experience. The project not only aims to alleviate traffic congestion but also seeks to create employment opportunities and boost economic growth through enhanced mobility. Overall, the C5 MRT-10 is a transformative initiative for sustainable urban transport in the region.
