Certizen Limited was founded in 2011 in Hong Kong, which is dedicated to providing technical support in order to create secure and efficient environment for e-commerce. As the Operator of HongKong Post Certification Authority (HKPCA), Certizen has been operating “e-Cert” services for Hong Kong citizens and organizations. Taking the opportunity of “Belt and Road” initiative, Certizen made use of its advantage in IT security to on one hand, have had entered into strategic partnership with countries along the “Belt and Road” Route. On the other hand, Certizen had launched mutual-recognized electronic signature certificates issued between Hong Kong and Guangdong to establish the mechanism standard between Hong Kong and Mainland China, which has promoted the interoperability of cyber security mechanism. By establishing the standard mechanism with two sides above, Certizen has taken the first step towards building up a unified cross border cyber security platform connecting Mainland China, Hong Kong and countries along the “Belt and Road” Route.

Bank-Cert was launched in December 2015 to meet the needs of e-Cheque to make e-Cheque legal binding, which has broken through the cross border payment bottleneck leading to financial integration with countries along the “Belt and Road Route.

Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) was founded by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2000 with the mission of enhancing Hong Kong’s competitiveness through applied research.
