Pakistan -Azad Pattan Hydropower Project (The Pattan Project)
The project is a gravity, run-of-river hydroelectricity plant with 4 turbines and 700.7MW of installed capacity. Its annual generation is 3.233 billion GWh. The construction period is 69 months with 30 years of concession period (construction period excluded) using a BOOT construction model. The debt-to-equity ratio is 75% to 25%. The debt capital is proposed to be provided by banks in China with a financing plan basically in place. The project company has obtained a letter of support, while concession-related agreements such as the execution agreement, power purchase agreement, water consumption agreement have been drafted. The financing is expected to be closed in the first half of 2019. The expected capital internal rate of return is 15.14%. The China Gezhouba (Group) Corporation (CGGC) owns 80% of shares of the project company. It is seeking investors to join the investment.
