Baklang Oilfield Support Services (“BOSS”) a subsidiary of Baklang Group has identified a huge market for the provision of offshore fabrication services in Nigeria following the enactment of the local content act which prioritizes local companies in the award of contracts from government and IOCs, for offshore fabrication projects. The Company intends to construct a ship building (construction and assembling of vessels), and fabrication (construction of platforms, barges, etc) yard for repair and modification of marine vessels, logistics, etc The growth in trading and oil and gas activities has led to the increase in demand of ship repair and fabrication services. The proposed yard will be constructed on a piece of land of about 80 hectares which is located near the Atlas Cove in Lagos, a city strategically located along the West African coast, with proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, to service oil and gas industry players and heavy industries in general.
