MinterEllison has been actively involved in infrastructure and major projects in some of the key countries under the "One Belt One Road" realm, including China, Mongolia, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam. We operate across all sectors, including economic infrastructure (transport, communications, power, water and other utilities), municipal facilities and social infrastructure (health, education and housing). With experienced projects and energy lawyers stationed in our Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Ulaanbaatar offices, our key point of difference is our ability to provide a tailored and cross-disciplinary team for the lifecycle of a project – from strategic input through to project delivery and dispute resolution. We seamlessly integrate our specialists from areas such as real estate, planning, environment, construction, tax, finance and dispute resolution to manage risk and achieve the best outcome for the project. In addition, we have been putting together a list of target contractors, energy and infrastructure developers and contractors we can approach for the Belt and Road Initiative projects since March 2016, and plan to reach out to those companies very soon.
