Joint Communiqué on 21st China-Russia Prime Ministers’ Regular Meeting

Li Keqiang, the Chinese Premier paid an official visit to Russia at the invitation of Dmitry Medvedev, the country’s Prime Minister, between 6-8 November 2016.

Having concurred on the great potential offered by expanding bilateral trade and investment co-operation based on solid partnership and close economic and trade relations, the two countries confirmed their readiness to deepen economic integration through building mutually beneficial economic partnership in Eurasia. As a consequence, the two sides will continue in their joint efforts to maximise co-operation and promote the sustained and rapid development of bilateral economic and trade partnerships. To this end, the two sides agreed to further their co-operation with regard to transportation, cross-border infrastructure, logistics and a number of other key areas of mutual concern within the framework of both the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union.
