At a Guangdong provincial government press conference on 3 June 2015, it was announced that the Implementation Plan of Guangdong Province for Participating in the Belt and Road Initiative had been endorsed by the state’s Leading Group for Advancing the Development of the Belt and Road. The move had been formerly deliberated and passed by the Guangdong provincial party standing committee on 22 May 2015.
