About this project
Project Description Alongside the smart city development in the New Clark City (NCC), BCDA is also considering the development of business plans to boost the attraction of premium anchor investors (e.g. employers) and create a more flexible business case considering the pandemic-led demand for data storage. The BCDA capitalizes on its existing assets and partnership with the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) and has identified the Project to match the real needs of anchor investors. In lieu of an existing partnership with DICT, BCDA holds a 500,000 Mbps line capacity covered by a Indefeasible Rights to Use (IRU) with direct link to and from its administered areas to Los Angeles, USA through a submarine cable called Pacific Light Cable Network (PLCN).
