Saudi Arabia - Carbon Fibre Plant at Riyadh

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) plans to build a carbon fibre production plant in Saudi Arabia.

The plant is expected to establish a supply of more than 3,000 tonnes of industrial grade carbon fiber to serve emerging local markets in the Middle East as well as international markets. The plant is expected to have a capacity of 7,500 tons/year of industrial grade carbon fiber, which will be available to serve emerging local markets in the Middle East as well as international markets.

The US$100 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of a carbon fibre plant
2. Construction of parking
3. Construction of associated facilities
