Indonesia - Waste to Energy PPP Project in Tangerang-Selatan
The total area of the current site is 8 ha (landfill area: 4 ha, proposed WtE area: 4 ha). Residents live closed to the landfill (within 500m). River flows beside the landfill which increases the risk of contamination from the land leachate.
The proposed Waste to Energy (WtE) facility will be located in Cipeucang TPA, Tangerang Selatan City, Indonesia. Tangerang Selatan City is a city in the province of Banten, southwest border of Jakarta. The proposed site for the WtE facility will be a 4-ha land next to the 4.5-ha Cipeucang TPA. The project includes two incineration power plants with estimated electricity generation capacity 400 ton/day (total 800 ton/day). Generation amount is 15.7MV and electric sell amount is 13.5MV. The period of operating will be 20 years. The project will be under PPP scheme.
For maximizing the energy recovery, high pressure steam generation system and efficient steam distributing system are used. The estimated electricity generation capacity is 13.9 MW at 1,840 kcal/kg, 800 ton/day WtE capacity.
