Saudi Arabia - Expansion of King Khalid International Airport (Terminal 1, 2 ,3 & 4)

About this project

The project involves upgrade and expansion of the existing Terminals 3 and 4 at King Khaled International Airport, located 35 kilometers north of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Terminal 3 is used for all domestic flights. Terminal 4 is never been utilized since construction, and remains without air bridges.

The project includes the preparation of the two terminals (3 and 4) and the expansion of the corridor linking the two buildings to a passenger check-in area. All electrical and mechanical systems and special systems are included.

The project will also see the establishment of 14 new travel gates and 80 check-in counters, as well as 30 departure counters and 48 passport control counters. In addition, the terminals will have a baggage claim area with eight 658 meter long conveyor belts.

The terminal also includes a commercial space and lounges of the first and business class, which will cover an area of 10,400 square meters. Once the project is completed, 11 million passengers can be accommodated annually at the airport.
