Saudi Arabia - Al Faisaliah 600MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Independent Power Plant (Al-Faisaliah Solar PV IPP (600MW))

The project involves the construction of a solar photovoltaic (PV) independent power plant with a capacity of 600 MW at Al Faisaliah in Mecca Province, approximately 80km south of Jeddah city. The scope of work includes development, design, permitting, engineering, financing, procurement, construction, commissioning, testing, completion, ownership, insurance, operation and maintenance of the plant.

Saudi Arabia, under its renewable energy programme, aims to lift its installed wind and solar power capacity to over 25 GW in the next five years and close to 60 GW over the next decade; of which 40 GW will be generated from solar energy, with a further 16 GW from wind energy.
