The Abu Dhabi Airports Company is planning to set up a new airport near the existing airport to accommodate the growing tourists and cargo traffic. Abu Dhabi Airports Company has plans to expand the existing airport to increase the annual passenger handling capacity at the airport from 12 million to 32 million. The US$4,000 million project includes the following: 1. Construction of 700,000m2 midfield terminal complex 2. Construction of six story midfield terminal building 3.
