Hong Kong is a “key link” to China’s Belt and Road Initiative, says Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee. Speaking at the Belt and Road Summit 2016, Mr Zhang spoke of China’s common interests with countries on the Belt and Road. Other speakers endorsed Hong Kong’s inaugural summit and opportunities to come.
